Living the Jacob Life

When this new year started, I, like many of you decided to make some resolutions for this new year. One of my resolutions was to become a better writer, well in order to become a better writer, I actually need to write. I am hoping that by creating this blog and keeping up with this blog, I can improve my writing and vocabulary.

What does living the Jacob life mean? In the Biblical sense, Jacob was the grandson of Abraham, the son of Isaac. Jacob was the father of 12 sons which became the 12 tribes of Israel. Jacob's name was changed after an all night wrestling match with God. (Genesis 32:28). Jacob learned to depend on God. Learning to depend on God on daily basis is something we as humans can constantly struggle with. Many times, we let our brains get in the way with God's will. Part of my resolution this year is to be closer to God and depend on him for all of our needs.

What does the Jacob life look like? It looks like living life to the fullest, wholly depending on God. I will be the first to tell you that I have a long way to go, but I know I serve a big God, and He loves me dearly and will never give up on me. It also means when times get tough, I don't get stressed out, I put my faith and trust in God. God has always taken care of me, always. I need to learn to rely on Him more.

I am excited at what this year will bring!

God Bless!
